About Nan

Nan Everidge has been making relationships memorable since her days as an iconic face character for perhaps the world’s most favorite entertainment enterprise, the Walt Disney Company.

A founding Managing Partner at Cannon & Caius, specializing in structuring strategic relationships with discerning confidentiality, Nan helps member families and their trusted advisors and related organizations navigate the intricacies of how best to leverage private portfolios with public portfolios for the most impactful good possible using the most innovative professional advice available.

As we all know too well, relationships built on integrity are essential to meaningful philanthropy and socially beneficial initiatives, especially when these initiatives are transformational, measurable, and sharable for charity’s sake.

Since those days when she first mingled with astonished guests at the Magic Kingdom, Everidge has been going the extra mile for those she encounters.  Whether it be a recognizable smile, a regal wave, a nod of the tiara, or a helping hand up, Nan’s career has focused on children with special needs and challenges, K-12 and higher education, affordable, accessible healthcare and wellness, competitive sports, entertainment, and hospitality.

Nan’s passion for helping those in need and those with the ambition to do great good is rooted in personal experience. Put simply, Nan Everidge’s priority—her zeal—is at the heart of what we do best at Cannon & Caius.

When husband and business partner, Ben, was unexpectedly diagnosed with Stage IV, Level V Malignant Melanoma more than twenty years ago, it was Nan who went to work with a talented group of physicians to make sure that he survived his deadly prognosis (a reported 2% chance of survival), while also making certain that her young family thrived in the meantime.

As a result of this remarkable journey, predictably, nothing now intimidates Nan.  And the cancer that threatened her own family is in the rearview mirror!  Fittingly, Ben dedicated his first political novel, Hoya: The Watchmen Waketh (2017, 722 pages), to Nan with an inscription in her family’s Welsh language, “Dim ond Duw all dy garu di fwy.”  Translated to English?  “Only God could love you more!”

Using her professional experience with healthcare and personal experience with Ben’s cancer, Nan Everidge’s career beyond her early Disney Parks years in Orlando, Tokyo, and on the road has included:

  • Generating the first million-dollar gala for Give Kids The World Village, a favorite charity of America’s Mercury Seven astronauts and legendary CBS News Anchor Walter Cronkite;

  • Collaborated with Moonwalkers and played golf with the only man ever to hit a golf ball on the Moon – for charity, of course;

  • Made children and families laugh at Nickelodeon Studios;

  • Helped one of the largest admitting hospitals in the United States establish 24-hour affordable care access in her community through their now-extensive CentraCare network;

  • Licensed product for sale to the NBA, NFL, MLB, NASCAR, and the University of Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish;

  • Managed a 50th-anniversary cherished community hospital celebration that resulted in a single, memorable evening;

  • Worked with the Brady Bunch’s favorite mom and client spokesperson, Florence Henderson, and talk radio’s Rush Limbaugh to endorse and successfully expand sales for a 50-year-old household product in richly key competitive markets like New York City;

  • Co-produced commercials that aired during the Super Bowl weekend football parades in Los Angeles, Miami and Orlando;

  • Identified and helped secure a $20 million principal gift and signature naming opportunity from a Jewish donor to a Christian hospital;

  • Worked for the Disney Look Team to sharpen Walt’s cast to exacting standards when interacting with guests, and so much more.

A graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a proud alum of the service sorority Delta Delta Delta, and a graduate of Leadership Orlando, Nan is also the mother of four vibrant, active college- and post-college-age children.
